My Document,Virus Scanners

 

 My Document:-

 My Document is a folder present in the desktop. Any new file is by default saves in “My Document”. This folder can not be deleted from the computer. 

Recycle Bin:-

IF we delete any file or folder from any location in disk, it just disappears from that location and stored in a folder present in the desktop known as Recycle Bin. Thus, Recycle Bin stores all the deleted matter and act as garbage collector. To remove a file or folder permanently, we have to delete it from Recycle Bin. So, if a file is deleted accidentally, we can recover it from Recycle Bin.

 System and Hardware Profile:-

 Generally the profile for the hardware specifications of a personal computer are
configured on motherboard, processor, RAM, Hard Disk Drive, Floppy Disk Drive, CD-ROM Drive, Keyboard, Mouse, VDU, other peripherals. 

To view the hardware profile of the computer system, we have to use Control
Panel. In the Control panel window we have open System Icon. Through its help we can view and modify our system and hardware configuration. 

Creating New Folders:-

 To create new folders on the desktop, we have to right click the mouse at any
blank space, where the new folder has to be created. As we do this, a menu appears. Now, select the option new. A sub menu appears. From this submenu, select folder option and press left click of mouse. A new folder with name “new folder” will be created. If we want to change the
name of folder, just click on the name of folder and write new name after deleting old name.

Finding File and Folders:-

 Searching a file or a folder in a computer is difficult and time consuming task to
avoid inconvenience and make the job simple, windows provides file searching facility. For searching the file on disk, follow the following steps;

1.   Click the mouse on “Start” button, a menu appears in on the screen.

2.    Now select “Find” option a submenu will be displayed on screen.

3.     Now select “File or Folder” option from this sub menu, a dialog box will get displayed on the                  screen.

4. Using this dialog box, we can search file either by its name or by date.

 Virus Scanners:-

 Computer viruses are the computer programs, which can corrupt and destroy a computer program or software. In order to control these viruses, anti-virus software are available. Using these software, we can scan a program, file or any other document to make it free from virus. Therefore, in order to detect a virus, it is mandatory that our computer system must have anti-virus software. 

To scan a file, we have to select that file and right clicks the mouse. A menu will
appear on screen. From this Menu select “Anti Virus Scan". Software will start scanning of the file. If it finds any virus, it will either delete or fix the virus. Thus, it is important software as it makes our file structure and software profile safe from any virus attacks.
